  • Ensemble Member #4: Like little tiny buildings and cars so small. It makes me feel like I'm really tall.
  • All: Oh, we are flying in an airplane, Lookin' out the window, Watching the clouds go by. Flying in an airplane, Lookin' out the window, Up so very high.
  • Ensemble Member #2: Pretending I'm a pilot is a lot of fun. I think when I grow up I really might be one.

  • Ensemble Member #1: Well, let’s look at the first clue again. *pulls the note out of his pocket* We’ll start off the fun in good ol’ France… *skims through the note adlibing tto himself* Aha! Here we go! Look for a tower that stands so high, in the city of Paris, me oh my! Well, we said that we thought it was the Eifel Tower, remember?
  • Barney: Oh yeah, that’s right!
  • Ensemble Member #1: But where it is?
  • (the gang starts looking around)
  • Barney: *to the audience* Do you see the Eifel Tower?
  • (pause)
  • Ensemble Member #1: *points to the Eifel Tower (which is part of the background) in the distance* Oh yeah, I see it! It’s way over there! How can we get there?
  • Ensemble Member #3: Well, just walk along this path right here… *points stage right* In fact, we can show you the way! Come on, follow us!
  • (the gang exits stage left as the curtains close, and then they enter the stage)
  • Ensemble Member #2: Now remember, the Eifel Tower will be very tall, and it will be shaped like a triangle.
  • Ensemble Member #1: Shaped like a triangle, huh? That’s a good way to remember it.
  • Barney: Oh, it sure is! The whole world is full of fun shapes, and you can find them everywhere!
  • (music starts for “It’s a Wonderful World of Shapes”)
  • Barney: Count up the sides. One, two, three. That is a triangle that you see.
  • Ensemble Member #1:Four same sides. That is a square. Different shapes are everywhere.
  • All: It's a wonderful world of shapes. It's a beautiful place to be. Take a look around from the sky to the ground. At the shapes that you can see. Oh, the different shapes you'll see.
  • Barney: If the shape is round like a sun in the sky, that is a circle going by. Triangle, circle and a square. Different shapes are everywhere.

  • BJ: Well OK. What kind of bird should we sing about?
  • Ensemble Member #3: Well, a very common kind of bird you’ll find in France is a lark.

Now think of some games that you can play, maybe you play these everyday. Card games are alway’s fun, playing until you have not even one. Of course checkers can be dino-mite, move the token to the left then to the right. These games have come from India, and their fun with friends, with cards and checkers, the fun will never end.
  • BJ: Ah cool! I never knew that some of those games came from India.
  • Baby Bop: Me either.

  • (all laugh)
  • Barney: That’s true! *chuckles*
  • Baby Bop: Uh Riff, didn’t you say that you found my yellow blankey earlier?

  • Ensemble Member #2: You can use this to get to Japan.
  • Baby Bop: Wha...what is that?
  • Ensemble Member #3: Oh, this is a hot air balloon.
  • Baby Bop: Well it doesn’t look like one.
  • BJ: Uh...that’s because it isn’t blown up yet, sissy.
  • Baby Bop: Oh, I see.
  • Barney: *chuckles* Oh this’ll be a big help! Thank you, friends!
  • Ensemble Members: You’re welcome!
  • Ensemble Member #1: Well let’s get this thing hooked up!
  • (Ensemble Members adlib as they hook the machine to the basket and adlib as they try to get it to work)
  • Ensemble Member #1: Hey guys, do you see an on switch on this thing?
  • (others say no)
  • Ensemble Member #3: Wait a minute. Here are the instructions. *picks up a paper off the machine*
  • (others ask what it says)
  • Ensemble Member #3: It says, in order to blow up your hot air balloon, just sing special song and the balloon will get big soon. You can choose to sing any song that you know, and bigger and bigger your balloon will blow.
  • Barney: Well, that shouldn’t be to hard! And you know, you can sing about anything you want!
  • (three of the ensemble members leave)
  • (music starts for “Sing A Little Song”)
  • Barney:  Let's sing a little song.
  • Baby Bop: Yes, a happy little tune.
  • Ensemble Member #3: If you sing a little song,
  • BJ: The whole world might just sing along.
  • All: Come on and sing a little song when you're happy, Sing a little song when you're sad. Oh, sing a little song about the things you've done. You can sing about your mom or your dad.
  • Baby Bop & BJ: If you're not sure what to do,
  • Ensemble Member #3:'Cause you feel a little blue.
  • Barney: It's gonna be okay, 'cause we are going to sing those blues away!
  • All: Everybody sing a little song when you're happy.
  • Barney: Come on!
  • All: Sing a little song when you're sad. Oh, sing a little song about the things you've done. You can sing about your mom or your dad. Come and sing a little song. Sing it loud and strong. Sing what you want to say. Oh, sing a song. Sing your own song. Everybody, sing your song today!
  • (Song ends)
  • (the balloon slowly begins to blow up as it makes a sound effect)
  • Baby Bop: Oh look! The balloon is getting bigger!
  • Barney: Oh, it worked! *chuckles*
  • BJ: Aie-yie-yie! This balloon will take forever to blow up. How long do you think it’s gonna take?
  • Ensemble Member #3: Let me think… *adlibs to self figuring out the math* Should be ready in about….20 minutes.
  • Dinos: 20 MINUTES!?
  • Ensemble Member #3: Well, what can I say? It is a really big balloon.
  • Barney: Oh my! *chuckles* In that case, this would be a great time to take a little break. So all of you can get up and walk around and stretch your legs. And maybe the balloon will be ready by the time we come back.
  • Baby Bop: Oh, but don’t go to far! You don’t want to miss our big balloon ride.
  • BJ: And the rest of this totally cool treasure hunt.
  • Barney: So, we’ll see you in a little bit.
  • (the gang says their goodbyes as they stand around the balloon waiting for it to blow up, as the curtains close)
