(after the Barney Theme Song, the camera pans over to Lucas and Mikey doing homework while sitting on steps on the playground)

  • Lucas: Hey Mikey, did you get this for your answer on number four? *hands him the paper*
  • Mikey: Yep, that’s what I got! Say, did you get this for number nine? *hands him his paper*
  • Lucas: Yep! I think we’re going on the right track with this.
  • (the two give each other their papers back as they write down some more stuff)
  • (Holly enters with a hula-hoop in one hand and the Barney doll in the other)
  • Holly: Hey guys!
  • (the two greet Holly)
  • Holly: What are you guys doing?
  • Mikey: Oh we’re just finishing up some math homework real quick.
  • Lucas: And I think I’m ready to take a break. We’ve worked a lot already.
  • Mikey: Yeah we have.
  • (the two set their things down as they get up and walk towards Holly)
  • Lucas: So what do you guys wanna do?
  • Holly: Hey, I know a fun game we can play, but we’ll need this hula-hoop to play it.
  • Mikey: What game is that, Holly?
  • Holly: Looby loo!
  • (the boys agree as Holly sits down the hula-hoop)
  • Holly: And you can sit here in the middle of the hoop, Barney.
  • (Music starts for “Looby Loo”)
  • Kids: Here we go looby loo. Here we go looby light. Here we go looby loo, all on a Saturday night.
  • Holly: I put my right hand in, I put my right hand out. I give my hand a shake, shake, shake and turn myself about.
  • Kids: Here we go looby loo. Here we go looby light. Here we go looby loo, all on a Saturday night.
  • Mikey: I put my left hand in, I put my left hand out. I give my hand a shake, shake, shake and turn myself about.
  • Kids: Here we go looby loo. Here we go looby light. Here we go looby loo all on a Saturday night.
  • Lucas: I put my right foot in, I put my right foot out. I give my foot a shake, shake, shake and turn myself about.
  • Kids: Here we go looby loo. Here we go looby light. Here we go looby loo all on a Saturday night.
  • Holly: I put my left foot in, I put my left foot out. I give my foot a shake, shake, shake and turn myself about.
  • Kids: Here we go looby loo. Here we go looby light. Here we go looby loo all on a Saturday night. We put our whole self in, We put our whole self out. We give ourselves a shake, shake, shake and turn myself about. Here we go looby loo. Here we go looby light. Here we go looby loo all on a Saturday night.
  • (Music ends)
  • (the kids adlib about how fun the game was)
  • (the Barney doll comes to life, and we see that the hula-hoop is stuck on Barney)
  • Barney: Whoa! Hi everybody!
  • Kids: Barney!
  • Barney: Hi there! *realizes the hula hoop is on him* Oh my, this hoop is stuck on me! *struggles to get it off*
  • (the kids laugh)
  • Barney: Oh, I think I might need a little help getting out of this. *chuckles*
  • (the kids agree to help as they successfully get the hoop off of Barney)
  • Barney: Oh thank you everybody. *chuckles*
  • (the kids adlib)
  • (a familiar sounding whistle is heard)
  • Lucas: Hey, what was that?
  • Mikey: I don’t know. It sounded kinda like a bird.
  • (the kids look around)
  • Holly: I don’t think I’ve ever heard a bird whistle like that before.
  • Barney: That’s because that wasn’t a bird. What’s yellow, green and wears bright red shoes on his feet?
  • Kids: Oh, BJ!
  • (BJ enters riding on his scooter and stops where the others are)
  • (All greet BJ)
  • BJ: Hi Barney, hi guys! How’s it going?
  • (All adlib)
  • (Riff arrives running towards the group)
  • Riff: Whoa, BJ wait up! *out of breath*
  • (Barney and the kids greet Riff)
  • Riff: Hi guys! *catches his breath* Gee Beej, you were going so fast on your scooter, I couldn’t keep up with you.
  • BJ: *chuckles* Well what can I say, Riff? My scooter is the greatest thing in the whole wide world.
  • Riff: Well can I ride it for a little bit, please?
  • BJ: *thinks for a minute* Sure! Go for it, Riff!
  • Riff: Oh thanks! *gets on the scooter and rides off*
  • Barney: It’s very nice of you to share something you love with someone else, BJ.
  • BJ: Well that’s what friends are for, right?
  • Barney: Right! Sharing with friends is one of the nicest things that you can do. It seems to me that sharing is a special way of caring. If you got enough for two, let someone share with you. If there’s just enough for one, take turns and share the fun.
  • (Music starts for “The More We Share Together”)
  • Barney: The more we share together; Together, together, The more we share together, The happier we'll be. Cause your friends are my friends….
  • BJ: And my friends are your friends,
  • Barney & BJ: The more we share together, The happier we'll be.
  • (Riff rides by)
  • Riff: Hey guys, look at me!
  • BJ: Whoa!
  • Barney: Very good, Riff!
  • Riff: Thanks, Barney! And here I go again! *comes back around and goes the other way*
  • Barney & BJ: Whoa!
  • Barney: He’s doing good! *chuckles*
  • All: The more we share together; Together, together, The more we share together, The happier we'll be.
  • BJ:Cause your friends are my friends….
  • Barney: And my friends are your friends.
  • All: The more we share together, The happier we'll be.
  • (Riff comes by on the scooter and gets off)
  • All: The more we share together; Together, together. The more we share together, The happier we'll be.
  • Kids: Cause your friends are my friends,
  • Dinos: And my friends are your friends,
  • All: The more we share together, The happier we'll be.
  • (Music ends)
  • Riff: Oh, your right, Beej. Your scooter is the greatest thing in the world. In fact I kinda wish I had one of my own.
  • Barney: Scooters are great toys but they do cost a lot of money.
  • Riff: Oh yeah, I guess your right. Oh well, maybe someday I will get my own scooter. I’m gonna go practice my music in the music room. See you guys later.
  • (all say their goodbyes to Riff as he exits to go in the clubhouse)
  • Lucas: I wish there was a way that we could get a scooter for Riff.
  • (the others agree)
  • Mikey: I have an idea! Let’s gather up all our money and add it all up. Maybe we’ll have enough for another scooter.
  • Barney: Well it’s worth a try!
  • (all adlib as they go to enter the clubhouse, the kids pick up their backpacks and they walk toward the clubhouse)
  • (Fades to the next scene as the kids are setting out dollars and coins on the coffee table)
  • Holly: Let’s see….we have eight quarters.
  • Lucas: Ten dimes.
  • Mikey: And here’s twelve nickels.
  • Lucas: I have five dollars in my pocket.
  • Mikey: And I have ten dollars here.
  • Holly: Looks like this isn’t going to be enough for a scooter.
  • (others sadly agree)
  • Lucas: Any other ideas, guys?
  • (other kids say “No”)
  • BJ: Just do what Riff would do: think, think, thinkity think!
  • (the kids adlib by saying things like “Right!” Or “Of course!”)
  • Mikey: We just gotta think.
  • (Music starts for “The Idea Song”)
  • Mikey: I'd like to think of something I never thought before.
  • Lucas: If it doesn't happen right away, I'll think a little more.
  • Holly: I'll sit a little while...
  • Barney: Imagine what could be...
  • Kids: And a new idea might come to me.
  • All: I'd like to think of something new, Something fun to do. Maybe solve a problem Or fix a thing or two. If I sit a little while I'm sure I'll see. A new idea will come to me.
  • (Music ends)
  • Lucas: I do have an idea!
  • (the others ask what it is)
  • Lucas: Maybe we should try raising money. Hopefully that will help us earn more money for a new scooter.
  • (others agree)
  • Barney: Oh, that’s a super-dee-duper idea, Lucas!
  • Holly: But how can we raise money?
  • Mikey: We could have a rummage sale.
  • BJ: What’s that?
  • Barney: Well a rummage sale is when you sell things you don’t need anymore to other people.
  • BJ: Oh.
  • Mikey: The rummage sale does sound like a good idea, but I don’t think we have anything here that we’d want to get rid of.
  • (others agree)
  • Holly: How about we sell something good to eat?
  • Barney: Oh that’s a good idea, Holly! Everybody loves to eat.
  • Mikey: But what kind of food can we sell?
  • Lucas: My Mom has this great lemonade recipe. We used it once when I had a lemonade stand. It was a huge success, and I raised enough money to buy a new bike.
  • Mikey: Lucas, that’s a great idea!
  • Lucas: What’s a great idea?
  • Mikey: We can have a lemonade stand!
  • (others agree)
  • Barney: Sure! That sounds great!
  • BJ: I always love a nice cold cup of lemonade on a hot day.
  • Barney: Me too, BJ!
  • Lucas: I think I’ll rush home and make some right now. See ya later guys!
  • (all say their goodbyes to Lucas as he exits the clubhouse)
  • Mikey: The lemonade stand is a good idea, but I think it still needs something more.
  • Holly: Well one time I went to a lemonade stand and they also sold some cookies there too.
  • Barney: OK. And that’s what we’ll do, too!

(all agree)

  • Mikey: I think we have stuff to make cookies up in the clubhouse. Come on guys, let’s go!
  • (the group runs upstairs as we fade to the next scene as the group starts making cookies from scratch)
  • (Music starts for “Lookie! It’s a Cookie!”)
  • Barney: Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie. A cookie that I'm going to eat. Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie. Yummy and nummy and sweet!
  • All: First, we make them. Then, we bake them.
  • BJ: I can hardly wait until they're done!
  • All: Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie. Cookies are wonderful fun!
  • Holly: Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie. With a glass of milk and a plate.
  • Mikey: Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie.Smelling and tasting great!
  • All: First, we make them. Then, we bake them. Then, we decorate them when they're done! Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie. Cookies are wonderful fun!
  • Mikey: They might be chewy.
  • BJ: They might be gooey.
  • Holly: Maybe crunchy and munchy when they’re done.
  • All: Lookie, lookie It's a cookie, cookie. Cookies are wonderful fun! Cookies are wonderful fun!
  • (Music ends)
  • (the group continues to decorate cookies until we fade to the next scene where Barney puts a tray of cookies in the oven)
  • Barney: There! Now we just have to wait for the cookies to be done!
  • Holly: And until then, we better start getting ready for the lemonade stand.
  • (others adlib as they leave the kitchen and fades to the next scene as the cast comes down the stairs)
  • Mikey: OK, so first we’re gonna need a table to put everything on.
  • Holly: I think there’s one out in the garage.
  • BJ: But how will people know that we’re having a lemonade stand?
  • Holly: Oh yeah, good point.
  • Barney: That’s no problem! Why don’t we just take a little look in… *his magic makes the Barney Bag appear*
  • BJ & Kids: The Barney Bag!
  • Barney: Right!
  • (Music starts for “The Barney Bag”)
  • Barney: Well I've been looking in my Barney Bag And I found a lot of things. Gizmos and gadgets and odds and ends. And even some old string.
  • BJ & Kids: So let's ask ourselves a question, "What can we make today?" With imagination and the Barney Bag We'll see what we can make today Yeah! See what we can make today.
  • (Music ends)
  • Holly: I have an idea! We can make some posters, and put them around the neighborhood.
  • Mikey: Good idea!
  • (the gang discusses a plan, as we fade to the next scene where the kids make posters)
  • Barney: Wow, these posters look very colorful! And there sure are a lot of them!
  • Mikey: Well we’re gonna need a lot of posters if we wanna raise enough money for Riff’s new scooter.
  • Barney: That’s true! *chuckles*
  • Holly: Hey Mikey, let’s go hang these around the neighborhood!
  • Mikey: OK!
  • (the two kids grab the posters and exit)
  • Mikey: We’ll be back soon, guys!
  • (The dinos say their goodbyes)
  • (Fades to the next scene as we see Mikey and Holly each holding an end of a table, and after carrying it to a certain spot, they set it down)
  • Mikey: There. I think this is a good spot for the lemonade stand.
  • Holly: Yeah.
  • (Lucas enters holding a pitcher of lemonade)
  • Lucas: Hey guys! I’m back!
  • (the two greet Lucas)
  • Mikey: Your just in time. We’re about to get started.
  • Lucas: Oh good.
  • (Lucas sets down the lemonade as Barney comes out holding a stack of paper cups)
  • Barney: Of course we can’t enjoy lemonade without some cups.
  • (the kids agree as they take them from Barney and the kids divide them out)
  • (BJ enters holding a plate of cookies)
  • BJ: And here are some nice hot cookies, fresh out of the oven.
  • (the kids adlib over how good they look)
  • Lucas: Well, are we ready to start?
  • Holly: Let’s see...we have the cookies….
  • Mikey: And the lemonade…
  • Lucas: And the cups.
  • BJ: I don’t know, but it still seems like there’s something missing.
  • Barney: Oh, I think I know what it is! People are gonna need to know where our lemonade stand is, so we’ll need a great big sign! *does magic to make a sign advertising the lemonade and cookies and their prices and it’s taped towards the end of the table*
  • (Kids adlib as they thank Barney)
  • Holly: OK, I think we’re ready to get started.
  • Lucas: Oh, and look! We already got some customers.
  • (Some extras walk in and for a while we see that everything is running smoothly as the kids hand out lemonade and cookies while Barney adds them in a box)
  • (Kylie walks in)
  • Kylie: Say, I was wondering where the lemonade stand was. Hey Barney, hi guys!
  • (all greet Kylie)
  • Lucas: Would you like some lemonade, Kylie?
  • Kylie: Oh yes, please! Thank you!
  • Holly: And a cookie?
  • Kylie: Oh sure!
  • (Mikey pours a cup while Holly grabs a cookie then Kylie pays)
  • Kylie: Here you go guys!
  • (all thank her as BJ puts the money in the box)
  • BJ: Awesome! At this rate we’ll get that new scooter for Riff in no time!
  • Kylie: A scooter huh? I think that can be arranged. I’ll be right back guys!
  • (all say their goodbyes as Kylie leaves)
  • Lucas: I wonder what Kylie could be doing?
  • Mikey: I don’t know, I guess we’ll find out soon.
  • (others agree as more extras walk in as the kids greet him then a brief montage plays as we see the rest of the lemonade stand process)
  • (“Pennies in My Pocket” plays throughout the mini montage)
  • All: Pennies in my pocket, nickels, and dimes. I can hear the money in this pocket of mine. Little ones, big ones, silver and brown....Shiny and round. Coins all together make a jingly sound. Make a jingly sound.
  • Mikey: With pennies in my pocket, here's what I can do. If I was at a store, I can buy something new!

  • Lucas: You know, these cookies look kinda good. I think I might try one. *gets a cookie and eats it* Mmm...these are good.
  • Mikey: Well I would try one to...but these are suppose to be for the customers. But I guess another wouldn’t hurt. *grabs a cookie and eats it*
  • Holly: Well I don’t know about you but I’m up for a little lemonade. *pours a cup and drinks some of it* Mmm...your right, Lucas this lemonade is amazing.
  • Lucas: I told you it would be a success. Say, how much money do we have, Barney?
  • Barney: Well let’s see here…. *talks to himself while pushing a few more buttons on the calculator* It looks like $8.81. I’m afraid that isn’t enough for a new scooter.
  • (all adlib in disappointment)
  • BJ: Aw man! We really worked hard on this!
  • Holly: I guess we won’t get a new scooter for Riff.
  • Kylie (offscreen): I wouldn’t say that.
  • (Kylie now enters riding on an orange scooter)
  • Kylie: What if I told you you could have this one for free?
  • (the others adlib)
  • Kylie: It belongs to my older brother. He never uses it anymore. What do you think?

  • Riff: Whoa, and it’s really fast too!
  • BJ: Hey Riff, wait for me! *gets on his scooter and rides with him*
  • (The two ride around for a little bit then they get off near the others)
  • BJ: *chuckles* We can call ourselfs “The Dino Cousin Riders”
